Bird spooting is one of our hobbies and we keep track of the species we have seen on the farm, around the house and at the feeder during winter time.

Unusual birds we have seen and/or heard on the farm includes Common Quail (several summers), Corn Crake (summer 2008), Rustic Bunting (very surprising visit at the feeder in November 2006), Arctic Redpoll, Hen Harrier, Tengmalm's Owl, Common Grasshopper Warbler, Yellow Wagtail and Common Crossbill (stationary during fall 2009).
