One of our objectives with the farm is to run it in a "natural" way:

  • The lambs are together with their mothers until they are about 4 months old.
  • The lambs are in principle all their lives out in the fields (except first 1-3 weeks)
  • All sheep are out in the fields from early May to late October
  • The ewes have the possibility to go out also during the winter (except for the mating period and during lambing)
  • Medicine against parasites only when needed (we send excrements for analysis twice a year)
  • During winter, our sheeps eat grass taken from our own fields during the summer
  • No pre-fabricated fodder, only locally grown oats
  • The sheep spends the winter on a thick bed made of locally produced straw
  • The sheep always have unlimited amount of water to drink
  • We don't use fabricated fertilizing and we don't spray our fields with chemicals
  • We tranport our sheep ourselves to the slaughterhouse to reduce time for transportation
  • We deliver our own meet directly to end customer from the slaughterhouse
  • We take care of the skin and the wool from the sheeps
